Hulu的《钱斯医生Chance》由《豪斯医生House》的明星HughLaurie主演。该剧由小说原作者KemNunn执笔，颁奖季热门电影之一的《房间Room》导演LennyAbrahamson掌镜。Hulu续订了两季，共20集。Hulu此举动也是为了打响平台电视剧系列品牌迈出了重要的一步。Nunn的《钱斯医生》是一部惊悚心理片，围绕着一名来自旧金山名叫EldonChance（Laurie饰演）的法医精神科专家而展开的故事。Eldon身处在一个充满着身份错乱，警察腐败以及众多精神病患者的城市。糟糕的是他做了一个错误的决定，和一位不确定是不是真的多重人格障碍的性感女病人产生了感情。这不仅惹怒了女病人性格火爆的警探前夫，害自己面临着离婚的危机，还使得他和自己十几岁的女儿产生了严重的隔阂。更可怕的这还激发出了他内心深处最可怕最黑暗的一面。在《数字追凶Numb3rs》及《火线救援RescueMe》演出过的DianeFarr饰演循环角色Christina，男主的前妻。经常处于恼怒的状态﹑对批评很敏感；她目前是个抱负的摄影师，有一个读写障碍的私人教练男朋友，她对自己的前夫充满怨恨。LisaGayHamilton饰演心理学家SuzanneSilver，是与EldonChance在加利福尼亚大学旧金山分校授课时就认识的好友。是个女同志，性格直接﹑聪明﹑感觉敏锐，她对Chance，以及发生在他身边的怪事皆十分关心。《凯莉日记TheCarrieDiaries》的主演StefaniaLaVie饰演Nicole，Chance的女儿，对父母离异心生不满，因此也容易受外界影响，甚至引起混乱。GretaLee饰演主角Chance的助理Lucy，是个前画廊艺术家，目前望修心理学。《大西洋帝国BoardwalkEmpire》主演GretchenMol饰演JaclynBlackston，就是上文中所指的「女病人」。在《丑闻Scandal》有演出的PaulAdelstein饰演RaymondBlackstone，上文所指的警探前夫。《愚人善事MyNameIsEarl》的EthanSuplee饰演常规角色D，是个外表强悍﹑满身纹身﹑沈默寡言的人。可能是个前军人，曾驻守在阿富汗；他在剧中低调地干着古董修复的工作。《火线TheWire》及《劫后余生Treme》主演ClarkePeters加盟该剧，饰演Carl，是位同性恋者，有文化﹑谈吐得体﹑老派的古董商，十分理解市场，知道如何增加古董的价值……不管手段是否合法也好。Nunn和《绝望的主妇DesperateHousewives》的编剧Cunningham负责剧本编写和电视制作。同时《钱斯医生》这部小说刚问世就引来了很多人的关注，众多名导都想尝试拍摄此剧。
