根据世界级英裔美籍著名幽默作家P.G.Wodehouse的系列作品改编，编剧Clive Exton同时也是ITV拳头剧《大侦探波罗》(Poirot)系列的主力编剧。主演史蒂芬·弗莱(Stephen Fry)和休·劳瑞(Hugh Laurie)均为剑桥出身，与爱玛·汤普森(Emma Thompson)等当年同在剑桥Footlights表演俱乐部演出(Monty Python主要成员也出身于此)，两人均多才多艺，剑桥之后在电影、电视、广播领域长年合作。国内观众对这两位的印象可能主要来自Richard Curtis/Ben Elton编剧、罗温·艾金森(Rowan Atkinson)主演的《黑爵士》(Blackadder)系列。小说作者P.G. Wodehouse，通译沃德豪斯(1881-1975)，英国小说家和喜剧作家。以塑造“绅士中的绅士”Jeeves这一形象而闻名，1955年入美国籍。《万能管家》中的主角是迷迷糊糊的英国绅士Bertie Wooster （其实就是个250）和他的聪明机灵、花样百出的男仆Jeeves，几乎每一个故事都是由主人荒唐的行为转变成不可收拾的困境，但是最后总是由男仆出人意料的机智解决。

本片是英国著名的喜剧团体MontyPython的成员特里琼斯(TerryJones)导演的一部荒诞不经的调侃宗教的电影,故事的发生地在巴勒斯坦,讲述了一个普通的男人被世人误认为是弥赛亚(犹太人企盼的复国救主)，由此引发了许多啼笑皆非的故事，一如MontyPython所有的电影那般，特里琼斯在这部电影中也使用了大量荒诞无厘头的笑料，电影以圣经为原型，由头至尾都充斥着颠覆，嘲讽的意味，对于虔诚的宗教人士来说，这部电影确实是场巨大的灾难。

《犯罪心理：穿越国界CriminalMinds:BeyondBorders》为《犯罪心理》的衍生剧，主要围绕FBI探员如何帮助国外居住的美国公民解决问题而展开。GarySinise：饰演JackGarrett，在FBI待了20年，刚刚被指派负责这个部门。TylerJamesWilliams：饰演队中的技术分析员Monty，是个讨喜而又聪明的角色，平常在家工作，他对陷入困境的家庭以事无巨细的方式处理，协助队伍找到被遗留的线索，以及找到远在海外的真凶。DanielHenney：MattSimmons，不仅是一位在国外长大的军人还是一个居家好男人，喜欢探索和融入不同的文化，最重要的是他的侧写能力对整个团队致为关键。

In this very late 60's irreverent, almost anarchic low-budget film, Brian De Palma defines more of his strange, given Hitchcock-like fascination of voyeurism, and attacks the issues of the day. The most prominent of which, both cringe-inducing and just plain funny, is when he focuses on the black-power movement (a black woman handing out fliers asking white people 'do you know what it's like to be black'), which is something that could only work for that time and place, not before or now.　　But one of the key things to the interest in the film is 27 year old Robert De Niro (not his first or last film with the director), who plays this character who sits in a room looking out through his telescope at women in their rooms, setting up phony deals, and in the end basically throwing bombs. Those who have said that De Niro can't act and just is himself in every movie should see this movie, if only out of some minor curiosity. A couple of times in the film it's actually not funny, as when there's a disturbance in a black-power meeting (filmed in a grainer, rougher style than the rest of the film).　　In the end it's capped off with a rambling monologue in an interview that tops De Niro's in King of Comedy. It's pretty obvious where De Palma's career would go after this, into slightly more mainstream Hollywood territory, but all of his trademarks are here; the dark, almost nail-biting comedy, the perfectly timed style of voyeurism, and interesting usage of locals. Think if De Palma and De Niro did a Monty Python film, only even more low-budget and in its New York way just as off-the-hinges, and you got Hi, Mom! Monty（爱德华·诺顿EdwardNorton饰）牵着他的狗在纽约散步，白天，他去了他以前就读的学校拜访了他的老友Jacob（菲利普·塞默·霍夫曼PhilipSeymourHoffman饰），Jacob在里面当英语老师，课上他的女学生Mary（安娜·帕奎因AnnaPaquin饰）非常活跃。而Monty和Jacob的另一个好友Frank（巴里·佩珀BarryPepper饰）则在公司忙碌地工作着。事情的起因是某天的下午，Monty回到家，发现女友Naturalle（罗莎里奥·道森RosarioDawson饰）在家门口等待许久。两人正在浴缸里调情的时候，警察突然来敲他们的家门。Monty藏在沙发里的毒品被发现。因此他被起诉，被判入狱7年。Monty离进监狱只剩下几个小时的时间了，他开始怀疑是不是女友出卖了他。Monty去找了他的老爸，两人谈了很多很多，之后他们一群人去到酒吧，却意外地遇到了Jacob的女学生Mary。24小时过去了，下一个小时开始，Monty就要开始他的监狱生涯......
